Michael Mizeur

Michael Mizeur serves as the president and CEO of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In 2022, Mizeur was appointed to serve in the role of chief executive officer of BlueCross. As CEO, he is responsible for all operating areas including the BlueCross BlueShield Commercial Health Division, Government Contracting Division which operates as the Celerian group of companies, and all other corporate subsidiaries. This includes more than 20 companies involved in health insurance services and a philanthropic foundation that funds programs to improve health care and access to health care for South Carolinians. Mizeur began his career at BlueCross in 1998 after seven years with Ernst & Young. He served in a variety of senior leadership roles at BlueCross including chief financial officer for 10 years and most recently president and chief operating officer. Mizeur also has a BBA from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Duke University.
