Claire Gibbons

Claire Gibbons has been executive director of Power:Ed, the philanthropy arm of South Carolina Student Loan, since 2022. She oversees all outreach, grant, and partnership operations and says that her goal is to build a statewide network of collaborative partners aligned in making a transformative impact on South Carolina students’ lives and career opportunities. Before joining Power:Ed, Gibbons spent 11 years at Charleston Regional Development Alliance, where she was director of global marketing and communications. She earned bachelor’s degrees from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s from George Washington University.
