Ronald McDonald House Carolinas has unveiled a refreshed brand identity designed to make its mission clearer and strengthen connections with the families, donors, volunteers, and community partners who make its work possible. While the organization’s name and visual identity are evolving, its commitment to keeping families together, supported, and connected when a child is sick or injured remains unchanged.
The updated identity reflects a broader effort to help more people understand what Ronald McDonald House does and how its relationship with McDonald’s supports its mission. The new brand is designed to address those gaps through a more modern, recognizable and unified identity.
“The most important thing we want people to understand is that while our look is changing, our mission is not,” said Marti Spencer, CEO/executive director of Ronald McDonald House Carolinas. “We are still here for the same reason: to keep families close when their child needs medical care. Our House is more than a place to stay. It is a place where families can feel supported and cared for during an incredibly difficult time.”
The refreshed name and visual identity provide a clearer expression of the organization’s purpose while maintaining the compassion and connection at the heart of its work. The updated logo incorporates the symbolism of a house as a place of support and a heart as a representation of connection and compassion.
For families arriving in Greenville while navigating a child’s medical journey, the experience inside the House will remain the same. The organization continues to provide a welcoming place for families to stay close to their children while receiving support from staff, volunteers and others who understand the challenges of a medical crisis.
The rebrand also marks an opportunity to introduce the organization to new audiences and build greater awareness of the role community support plays in its work. Donations, volunteer service, prepared meals, and community partnerships all help sustain the House and ensure families have access to a supportive environment during difficult times.
“Understanding leads to connection, and connection leads to community support,” said Nicolette Occhifinto, development manager of Ronald McDonald House Carolinas. “The clearer we can be about our mission, the more people can understand how they can be part of it. Our community has always been an essential part of this House, and we look forward to welcoming even more people into that mission.”
Ronald McDonald House Carolinas is part of a global network of more than 250 chapters across more than 60 countries and regions. The updated brand supports the organization’s continued efforts to reach families, strengthen community relationships and remain recognizable to future generations, while staying true to the values that have guided its work for decades.
