The Slice is now open in Greer, officially welcoming guests to its third Upstate South Carolina location at 107 South Main St. The family-owned pizzeria opened its doors on May 28, continuing the brand’s expansion following the success of its original Simpsonville restaurant and second location in Fountain Inn.
“Our goal has always been to create a place where people can come together, relax, and enjoy great food in a comfortable setting,” said managing partner and owner Mike Baldassarra. “Greer felt like the right next step for us. It’s a strong, growing community, and we’re excited to become part of it officially.”
In conjunction with the opening, The Slice is partnering with nonprofit organization Hope For The Day to support proactive suicide prevention and mental health education initiatives. Through June 30, the restaurant will donate $1 from every kid’s menu item sold to the organization, which works to encourage open conversations around mental health through outreach, education, and community action.
The Slice is also supporting Hope For The Day’s hospitality-focused program, 86 The Silence, by donating $1 from every can of Johnny Ryan soda sold through June 30. In addition, staff members will participate in mental health training through the initiative, which is designed specifically for hospitality workers and focuses on self-care, stigma reduction, and proactive mental health support within the industry.
Since first opening in 2021, officials with The Slice say they've built a loyal following through its welcoming atmosphere, from-scratch menu, and commitment to neighborhood hospitality. The new Greer location brings the same feel and full menu of foldable New York-style pizzas, house-made pasta dishes, wings, sandwiches, starters, and more to the heart of downtown.
Guests can enjoy offerings like cup-and-char pepperoni pizza, Sicilian-style pies, and specialty pizzas like Bianca and Chicken Bacon Ranch, along with a lineup of pasta dishes and appetizers. The Greer location also introduces new calzones and stromboli created specifically for the restaurant’s newest outpost.
The Slice serves a full bar menu and its signature Johnny Ryan sodas, known for their classic glass bottles and pure cane sugar. In addition to dedicated parking spaces for take-out orders, parking is available on nearby streets and in the 5-story, 300-car Jason Street Parking Garage.
The opening of the Greer location marks the brand’s third restaurant in the Upstate and signals continued growth for the family-owned concept.
