FEMA this week announced more than $330,000 in funding for two recovery and mitigation projects to help South Carolina communities recover from Hurricane Helene.
This funding is part of more than $308 million that FEMA announced for 150 projects nationwide.
FEMA is awarding $171,000 to the city of Greenville for a Public Assistance debris removal project following Hurricane Helene.
FEMA is also awarding the state $160,000 through the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program for Renewable Water Resources to assess existing wastewater infrastructure and identify cost-effective hazard mitigation strategies to improve resilience to natural hazards.
These projects are the latest examples of billions of dollars in disaster recovery provided by FEMA to support states and local communities as they work to rebuild from recent natural disasters.
