Countybank Foundation, representing Countybank and Greenwood Capital, donated $25,000 to the Piedmont Technical College Foundation to support the expansion of the college’s Family Life & Conference Center on the Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood.

For more than 50 years, Countybank Foundation and Piedmont Technical College have partnered to advance education and support economic growth across the Upstate. This donation represents a portion of Countybank Foundation’s goal of a $100,000 contribution to the project over the coming years. The gift reflects the organization’s continued commitment to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening the communities Countybank serves while helping transform PTC's Family Life & Conference Center into a multipurpose facility designed to serve students, families, and the broader community.

“I’m excited that we can make this contribution to Piedmont Technical College Foundation,” said David Tompkins, commercial banking manager at Countybank. “As a PTCF board member, I’ve seen the great work the College does to support students in Greenwood and the surrounding counties. The expansion of the Family Life & Conference Center will be a great addition to the campus and the Greenwood community.”

“We're excited to continue our support of Piedmont Technical College through this donation,” said John D. Wiseman, director of Fixed Income for Greenwood Capital. “We look forward to the completion of the Family Life & Conference Center as another advancement to the College’s mission to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing opportunities for intellectual and economic growth.”

Once completed, the expanded Family Life & Conference Center will provide space for learning, collaboration, conferences, and community events, furthering Piedmont Technical College’s impact throughout the Lakelands.
