When I started Social Society Marketing, my goal was simple: to help business owners feel confident showing up online and to prove that social media can be a tool for meaningful growth when it's backed by strategy. Watching my business grow has been one of my proudest accomplishments, but what means the most to me is the opportunity it has given me to help others succeed. Looking ahead, I hope to continue growing my agency, creating career opportunities for talented marketers, and helping even more businesses build brands that make a lasting impact. Giving back has always been a core part of my journey. Whether I'm mentoring students, speaking to aspiring entrepreneurs, serving on local nonprofit boards, or supporting small businesses throughout the Upstate, I believe success is measured by the positive impact we leave on others. I'm incredibly grateful for the community that has supported me, and I'm committed to using my experience to encourage, empower, and invest in the next generation of business owners and leaders.
Favorite Quote and Why: "What if it doesn't work out? Ah, but what if it does." This has been my favorite quote since I was in high school. I always come back to it when I am going through hard times, offering a new service in my business, or about to take steps towards more growth. It reminds me that there is a positive way to look at what I am doing and that it can work out.
Qualities of a Successful Leader: To me, a successful leader is someone who creates opportunities for others to grow. They lead with integrity, invest in people, and use their knowledge and influence to make a lasting impact on their community. A great leader doesn't just build a successful business, they build confidence, develop future leaders, and create environments where others feel supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their potential. Success isn't measured by how many people follow you, but by how many people are better because you chose to lead. I believe leadership is about service, mentorship, and leaving every person, business, and community stronger than you found it.
Advice for 18-Year-Old Self: Don't feel insecure about the dreams you have. I know you have dreams of having a big life and doing something exciting, don't be scared of telling the world what is on your heart. Because you will accomplish everything you could ever dream of.
