Since opening my business in October, I’m proud of how much I’ve grown so early on and of the trust I’ve built with the women who continue to support my business. Through hands-on experience and continuing education, I’ve learned how to properly structure both natural nails and extensions. Improving my application skills allows me to feel more confident in the work I’m creating. My long-term goal is to grow my business into a successful brand while continuing to perfect my craft and expanding my nail tech knowledge. I hope to create a lasting career that allows me to express my creativity while bringing me financial freedom. Giving back to the women in my community has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. For me, being a nail tech is about so much more than doing nails, it’s about creating a space where women can take a moment for themselves, feel seen, and leave carrying a little extra confidence into their everyday lives. Knowing that I can contribute to someone’s happiness, even in such a small way, is truly one of the most meaningful and fulfilling aspects of what I do.
Favorite Quote and Why: One of my favorite quotes is, “If you’re scared to do it, do it scared.” I love this quote because it reminds me that fear shouldn’t stop me from going after the things I want. I’ve learned that you don’t have to feel completely ready or confident to take the next step. Sometimes you just have to be willing to do it scared, trust yourself, and see where it takes you.
Definition of a Successful Leader: A successful leader is characterized as someone who takes credit for success and blame for a potential failure as well as willing to step in and tackle a problem when the time is necessary.
Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: At 18, it’s easy to feel like you’re supposed to have life figured out because you’re finally an adult. But the truth is, there is still so much life ahead of you and so many experiences that will shape who you become. Give yourself grace as you grow, and don’t be afraid of making mistakes along the way. Be open to love, even when it feels easier to protect yourself. And most importantly, remember that you are beautiful, even on the days you don’t feel it. Trust yourself, be gentle with your heart, and know that you are worthy of everything life has in store for you.
